Wetherby Cricket Club Awarded Clubmark
 The club would like to thank everyone who has contributed to achieving this award - special thanks must go to Brent Pickles who drove the project from the outset.

Annual General Meeting Date Set
Wetherby Cricket Club's AGM will be held on Thursday 4 Decmber 2008, in the clubroom at Grange Park,Wetherby 1930 start. All club members are encouraged to attend. For further details please contact Simon Stone.
Respectable finish to 1st season back in the top flight!!
Wetherby CC 1st XI finished a respectable joint 7th in their first season back in the top fight. After strong start to the season Wetherby started to lose a little momentum with a number of first choice players becoming unavailable for various reasons, however they battled through what was undeniably a mixed season to finish level on points with the 2007 champions Church Fenton. Wetherby ended the season the only side to defeat this season’s run-a-way champions Spofforth highlighting when they get it right then they’re a match for anyone.
Looking ahead into next season more consistency is required if they are to improve on this seasons efforts, but with a number of good young players emerging during the later stages of last season and a strong senior backbone things look like they are definitely moving in the right direction.

Yorkshire CCC Signed Bat
Congratulaions go to Gordon Percy who won a Yorkshire CCC cricket bat signed by the 2008 squad. Raffle tickets were sold during the Junior Gala days and throughout the club. The draw was made at the senior diner and presentation evening held at grange park on Friday 19 September.
